Meghan & Pete’s Story

Pete and Meghan met in college at a “very classy” campus bar during a “very classy” fraternity and sorority mixer.

Meghan showed up late to the mixer after finishing dance practice, so Pete was a few drinks ahead (to say the least). Very quickly, a tipsy Pete swept Meghan off her feet with his incredible (ridiculous) dance moves and ability to rap every word to any hip hop song the DJ played that night. The next 7 years were history...

Dreamy Proposal

Pete proposed during a trip to Europe in Paris. Jet lagged and aimlessly wandering around the city, they found themselves on a beautiful bridge overlooking the city at sunset.

Before Meghan knew it, Pete was down on one knee! They both blacked out and don't remember what they said, but the most important thing is that she obviously said yes!

That p e r f e c t #Greccogirlgang Dress

Meghan is wearing Iris in Champagne by Alexandra Grecco with a custom raised neckline.

Meghan knew she wanted to stray a bit from traditional style wedding gowns and always loved NYC based designer Alexandra Grecco. Grecco is known for having a unique style that combines clean lines and chic silhouettes with feminine and ethereal details, which is exactly what Meghan was looking for.

Once Meghan had her sights set on Alexandra Grecco , she found herself at Alice in Ivory during an AG trunk show with her mom and two of her closest friends.

As soon as she put on the Iris gown, she got chills; Meghan described it as ”that exact feeling that everyone says you get when you try on "the one."‘

The dress comes in both white and champagne, so one of the hardest parts was deciding between the two colors. Ultimately, Meghan decided to go with champagne to go with her unique vision— and we are o b s e s s e d.

Meghan went to The Dress Doctor on Michigan Avenue for alterations for a total of 7 fittings to make sure her d r e a m gown was absolute perfection for her big day.

Groom Style Goals

Pete got a custom tux from Suit Supply in Gold Coast to match Meghan’s perfect look. We are loving everything about his style… and who says you can’t have groom shoe envy.

That Carolina Venue

Pete and Meghan knew they wanted to do a destination wedding and when they visited Charleston, SC, they immediately fell in love. Can we just talk about the romance and charm of this perfect little city?

After touring close to 7 different venues, Meghan and Pete saw Legare Waring House and were sold!

Think whimsical and romantic with huge oak trees dripping with moss... SWOON.

The Big Day

Pete and Meghan chose to write their own vows, and it was by far their favorite part of the day. After 7+ years together, this lovely couple poured their hearts into their vows, so reciting them to each other that day was so special and personal.
